Description of Desired Solution
Our client is looking for a proven manufacturing process for the production of benzoic acid or a manufacturer of benzoic acid with existing large scale capabilities.
Background
Our client has laboratory process technology. They have a need to transfer the technology or received technology for successful commercial production of benzoic acid in a new asset. The benzoic acid produced will be for internal consumption only as an intermediate for other products. An annual capacity of 20,000 MT is anticipated.
Detailed Solution Description
Our client is interested in receiving proposals for licensing or partnership with an existing large scale benzoic acid producer.
The partner must fit the following criteria:
- The partner must be a large organization ( producing more than 5,000 MT per year)
- Ideally, the partner is located in Asia
- The partner is willing to penetrate the European market.
Possible Routes To Investigate (Not Limited to)
The potential partner could be a BA manufacturer interested in developing new markets by licensing our client technology or partnering with our client.
Solution that are not of interest
- Small organizations (producing less than 5,000 MT of BA) are NOT of interest
- Trading companies are NOT of interest
- Academics, theoretical opportunities, pilot scale proposals are NOT of interest
Timeframe for adopting this solution
Our client needs to establish contact with potential partners immediately to 30 days. Preferably by August 12.

Our client has a particular interest in highly efficient recycling of cobalt catalyst to meet European effluent requirements.
